Two or three women called Eve on Covey

The 1817 slave register for John Tharp's Covey estate lists five individuals with a mother called Eve: Bull (1799-1821), Winters (b. 1802), Easter (b. 1807), Gloucester (b. 1810) and James Heley (15th of April 1818-10th of April 1819).

Easter was the only daughter and her mother was named as Eve (big), but no other attempt was made to distinguish between two women called Eve who were included in the 1817 register. Both were born in about 1777 and they were both described as creole (born in Jamaica).

In the 1832 list, the death was registered of a woman called Eve. Her dates were given as 1778-1832, which could certainly apply to either of these women, but her place of birth was given as Africa. It's not unusual for places of birth to be recorded incorrectly, so this is more likely than not to have been one of the two Eves who were recorded in 1817. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to determine which woman was the mother of which of these children.
